I believe I was not harmed in the tornado because the Lord is not finished with me yet. He still has much love and blessings for me to share with others.

Dear Cam Ranh Family,
I trust this letter finds you and your family well and living life by God’s grace and love. I write to you following the devastating tornado that hit Dallas and damaged my home on October 20, 2019. I was not at home at the time, but was traveling. Thank you for all your thoughts and prayers for me and those affected by the tornadoes.
Our Cam Ranh Leadership met recently and have planned good work for the upcoming holidays and 2020 year. I will be traveling back to Cambodia soon to continue the ministries that you are contributing to.
I would like to update you on what our Cam Ranh leadership has been working on. We recently met in September to discuss the following:
  1. Amazon Smile Charitable Giving - Last year we created another way for you to contribute to Cam Ranh through your online purchases at Amazon Smile.   2. ​Church Support and Scholarships - We will continue with support for churches and schools in Vietnam and Cambodia this year. Our goal is $15,000 to continue the wonderful ministry we started. Sixty five students will receive scholarships to attend school because of your generosity. These gifts are also used to support mission events sponsored by Cam Ranh Orphans. See our Facebook page to see the progress and pictures of these gifts. 
  3. Cambodia School - the school is doing well and supporting up to 40 students. Recently we began helping families move their boat homes to land due to government decree. 
  4. 45th Anniversary Reunion May 1-3, 2020, Houston, Texas - The church members of West Memorial Baptist Church and owners of Touch Ranch were a major part of our journey to America. God provided a way through the love of Christians in Houston and we want to celebrate our 45th Anniversary alongside those who have helped us and in the places that gave us refuge. Please spread the word and save this date May 1-3, 2020. We want to have the largest showing of Cam Ranh family for this reunion. Plans are underway - let us know if you are available to help and please take a short survey to gage interest. 
  5. Fundraising and Communication - Sam (Sang) Schrade and Thang Cope will be contacting you soon regarding how our family can support the ministries and legacy that Mr. Ha gave to us. Please practice saying “yes” when they ask if you can help.
